On Dec 28, 2020, the final online-meeting of the Department of Diaspora Studies was held.
During the meeting there were discussed the results of the current research work,

On Dec 22, 2020, the international online seminar-discussion on
"Issues of Identifying and Documenting the Potential of the Armenian Diaspora, Ways of Its Implementation in Armenia"
was organized by the Department of Diaspora Studies of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography NAN RA.
The discussion was conducted by the Head of the Department of Diaspora Studies, Doctor of Historical Sciences R. Karapetyan.
The specialists from different countries took part in the discussion.
The seminars will be ongoing.
On Dec 7, 2020, the regular online-session took place at the Department of Diaspora Studies.
The discussion focused on the project of developing a model for studying the potential of Diaspora.
The relevant program was sent to the researchers for further discussions.
The online meetings will be ongoing.
On November 26, 2020 at the Department of Diaspora Studies there was held the next online discussion.
The meeting was devoted to the upcoming research work.
The discussion was aimed to reveal the methodological features of studying
the potential of Diaspora in current post-war situation.
The importance of the repatriation process in these conditions was especially emphasized.
It was decided to start a series of studies of the returnees’ integration methods
used by other ethnic groups with diasporas.
Online meetings will be ongoing.
On November 17, 2020, at the Department of Diaspora Studies there was held an online meeting.
During the meeting a number of agenda issues were discussed and outlined the upcoming tasks.

Nowadays the radical changes are taking place in the Armenian Diaspora affecting various aspects of the life of whole nation. Within this context the changes, emerging in the Diaspora, are deeper, because the living conditions of the Armenian ethnic group vary greatly from one environment to another which poses many challenges to reproduction of ethnicity and the preservation of identity.
The contents of the programme «The Development of Model of Studying and Mapping the Potential of the Armenian Diaspora» were presented to the participants.
Topics to be discussed:
• The Problems of Modeling the Potential of Diaspora.
• The Methodology of Identifying and Studing the Potential of Diaspora.
• The Project Prospects.
To each participant will be given 5-10 minutes to discuss the topic or answer questions.

the international webinar on "Problems and principles of cooperation in the context of new challenges of the
Diaspora" was organised by the Department of Diaspora Studies of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography NAS RA.
The agenda discussed goals and objectives, preconditions and the necessity of collecting the intellectual potential of the RA
and Diaspora, the main tasks of implementing the network mechanisms into the Diaspora Studies, the perspectives of forming
the network of diasporologists, the problems of creating a joint monitoring platform, the development of common research programs and a number of other issues.
The webinar-discussion was conducted by the Head of the Department of Diaspora Studies, Doctor of Historical Sciences R. Karapetyan.
The experts from different countries took part in the discussion. A number of agreements were reached during the discussion.
